Irresistible Oreo Dump Cake Recipe

Our family is a typical family that loves Oreo cookies.  We make an Oreo Fluff Dip that is so good and today we are sharing another recipe we make using Oreo cookies…this irresistible Oreo Dump Cake.

Dump cakes are so wonderful. They are just like the name implies; you dump the ingredients into a pan and bake and they turn out so wonderful.  This one is so delicious and perfectly indulgent.

  • 20-24 Oreo cookies, divided
  • 15 oz. chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz. whipped topping (i.e., Cool Whip) thawed
  • 1 ½ c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup salted butter, cold and thinly sliced

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 9”x13” cake pan.  Then take your Oreos and arrange them in a single layer in the pan.  You will need about 4-6 Oreos for the top of the cake also so keep this in mind.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top of the cookies and then spread out your whipped topping over that.  Sprinkle on the dry cake mix to cover it all.  Do NOT stir it.  Take the slices of butter and lay that on top of the dry cake mix.  Crumble up some Oreos and sprinkle on top or just break up some of the cookies and put them on top.

Bake for 42-45 minutes and then serve and totally enjoy.  Perfect on its own or put a scoop of ice cream on top to go all out.

Serves 8 with each serving having about 100 carbs per serving.

We make several kinds of dump cakes so be sure to check them all out. Click the name of each to be directed to the recipe page of each.  Cherry Dump Cake, Crock Pot Apple Dump Cake, Pumpkin Pie Dump Cake and my Double Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake.
