Amazing Ham, Green Beans and Potatoes in the Crock Pot

This amazing ham, green beans and potatoes recipe is a definite keeper! It’s a simple recipe that is cooked in the crock pot and makes your home smell amazing.  It is great for anytime you want a great meal with minimal hassle.

  • 2 lbs. ham, shredded or cubed
  • 2 lbs. fresh green beans, or 2 (15 oz.) cans
  • 4 russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 c. chicken broth or stock
  • 2 T. dehydrated onions
  • 1 T. chick bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Turn your crock pot onto high and let it heat up for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes, turn the crock pot to low and put all the ingredients into the crock pot and stir in 3 c. of water and replace the lid.  Allow it to cook for 6-8 hours.

Drain the ham, potatoes and green beans and serve.  I keep the liquid and let it cool and then I freeze it to add to soups, stews, and cabbage dishes for extra flavor.

Serves 6.  Each serving has about 18 grams of carbs.

Serve some whole wheat bread to accompany this meal, followed by a piece of spice cake or go lighter with a slice of No bake strawberry kool-aid pie.
