I love cooking meals in my crock pot but this just might be my easiest and most flavorful crock pot dish of all time. It’s super easy to put together and in return you get a super tender, barbecue chicken that can be cut with a fork.
· 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
· 2 ¼ c. BBQ sauce (homemade or one 18 oz. bottle)
· ¼ c. apple cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar
· ¼ c. brown sugar
· 1 tsp. onion powder
· ½ tsp. garlic powder
· ½ tsp. salt
· ½ tsp. pepper
Turn your crock pot onto high, place the chicken inside and replace the lid.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour over the chicken. After 30 minutes, turn the crock pot to low and cook for 8 hours or leave it on high and cook for about 4 hours. The chicken is done when the internal temperature of the thickest part of the meat has reached 165 degrees.
Be sure to serve some baked potatoes, mashed potatoes or potato salad with your chicken, along with a side of creamy, cold corn salad and some corn bread. Yum!
