I love a good quick bread recipe. With today’s recipe you’ll get the flavors of cinnamon and nuts all swirled into a delicious, easy and moist bread that does not require any yeast. It can be whipped up in about 10 minutes and it’s so full of flavor. It’s perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, a snack or anytime you want a bite of deliciousness.
1 (18.25 oz.) box of yellow pudding-in-the-mix cake mix
½ c. pecans or walnuts
½ c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
Grease and flour two 8-9” bread pans. Set aside.
Prepare cake mix according to the package directions. Once the batter is whipped up, stir in the vanilla and almond extract.
Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and nuts in a small bowl.
Pour cake batter into each bread pan filling up the bread pans about half way. Now sprinkle in some of the cinnamon/nut mixture on top of the batter and then pour on the remaining cake batter. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon/nut mixture on top of the batter. Finally, take a butter knife and drag it through the top of each bread pan. Bake according to the cake box directions.
