Sour cream and onion dip is a family favorite. It goes great with some homemade potato chips while watching a movie with the family. It’s also a hit at parties and any time a great chip dip is needed. It also greats great on a baked potato. Yum! So insanely delicious and easy to make so there is never a need to buy store bought again!
- 1 ½ c. sour cream
- ½ c. mayonnaise
- 2 T. dehydrated onions
- 2 T. onion powder
- 1 T. chopped chives, optional as garnish
- 2 ½ tsp. soy sauce
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. parsley flakes
- ¼ tsp. pepper
The one ingredient listed may seem strange to add to the dip but the soy sauce elevates this dip and adds the perfect amount of rich, salty flavor.
To make the dip, place the sour cream, mayonnaise, and soy sauce into a medium sized bowl and stir well. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the ingredients to meld together.
