This is a great recipe that requires only 3 ingredients and tastes amazing. It remarkably tastes just like a 3 Musketeers candy bar. The center is so fluffy and creamy. It is fun to make with kids and everyone loves it. It will help ease your sweet tooth cravings.
- 6 c. milk chocolate chips, divided
- 16 oz. Cool Whip topping, store bought or homemade
- 1 ½ T. vegetable shortening
Prepare an 9”x13” cake pan by lining the inside with plastic wrap. Set aside.
Pour 3 ½ cups of the milk chocolate chips into a microwave safe mixing bowl. Microwave the chips in 30 second intervals. Stir after each interval to be sure that the chips melt completely and become smooth, without becoming scorched.
Scoop up the Cool Whip and stir it into the melted chocolate. Use your mixer to mix up the mixture on medium speed. Mix until it becomes smooth and then pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan. Cover the top of the mixture with waxed paper and then press it down and smooth it out. Place into your freezer for about a half hour. After 30 minutes, slice the candy into pieces. Put back into the freezer for another half hour and then melt the rest of the chocolate chips with the shortening and dip each piece of candy into the melted chocolate to completely cover each one. Place onto a parchment lined plate or pan to allow the chocolate coating to set. Once completely set, enjoy. Leftovers, if there are any, will need to be refrigerated or frozen.
