· 2 c. milk
· 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
· ¼ c butter
· 1 tsp. salt
· ½ tsp. pepper
Melt your butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper and whisk for one minute.
Slowly whisk in the milk until there are no more lumps. Bring to a boil and cook until thick, being sure to whisk constantly. It should only take a minute or two to thicken. If the gravy is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk at a time to thin out and if it is not thick enough add in a bit of flour at a time until correct consistency. Remove from stove and enjoy.
I love serving this over hash browns, chicken fried chicken or over some bigcountry biscuits.
