This is a great recipe that produces a delicious, sweet & tangy sandwich. A great change if you tire of eating cold sandwiches for lunch. This is a welcome addition that provides a lovely warm sandwich that will satisfy your hunger.
- 2 lbs. shaved deli style ham
- Homemade barbecue sauce
- 10 homemade hamburger buns or store-bought buns or Kaiser rolls
Spray or grease the inside of your crockpot. Turn to high and put the shaved ham into the crock pot. Pour in the barbecue sauce. Use as much is needed to coat the ham. Pour in 1-2 cups and stir and if more is needed, add more.
Replace lid and cook for 1-2 hours. Just needs to be hot enough to make a nice warm filling of the sandwich. When hot enough, use tongs to pull out some of the meat and place on your buns.
Serve with some homemade potato chips or homemade onion rings. So good and is a real game changer for lunch!
Approximately 60 carbs per sandwich.
