Southern Breakfast Tater Tot Casserole

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and this Southern Breakfast Tater Tot Casserole is one to cherish.  It is filling, hearty and packed with all kinds of delicious breakfast foods.  It comes together to be cheesy and wonderful!

  • 16 oz. bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb. breakfast sausage
  • 6-8 pieces of bacon, cooked and crumbled or chopped
  • 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ c. milk
  • 6 lg. eggs
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and butter or spray a 9”x13” cake pan with cooking spray.  Set aside.

Cook the sausage in a skillet until it is no longer pink and is all broken up.  Drain and pour the sausage into the cake pan.  Sprinkle the cooked bacon on top of the sausage.  Now sprinkle on the cheese.

In a mixing bowl, stir together the milk, eggs and seasonings.  Pour over the top of the cheese. Arrange the tater tots on top and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the tots are golden brown and the eggs are set.  Remove, cut and enjoy.

People also really love my French Toast Casserole.  Delicious French Toast without all the work.  Great way to feed a crowd with minimal work and mess.

For a main dish, serve a family favorite of Pizza Tater Tot Casserole.

A Sloppy Joe Tater Tot Casserole is always a hit at potlucks.
