Breakfast rice is a delicious, comforting and filling breakfast. It's great on days you don't have a lot of time. You can eat breakfast rice any time of the day, but our family prefers to eat it for breakfast. We have it once or twice a week and it is always good. It's easy to make and we often make it when we go camping too. It is also a way to use leftover rice.
Breakfast Rice
cooked rice, 1/2 c. per serving
milk, to your taste
dab of butter (optional)
sugar. to your taste
To give you some ideas on amounts to add, for me, I add in 1/8 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar and love it like this.
I shared this recipe with the following blogs and link parties:

My father in law and I both love rice!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a great food item!
DeleteI love rice this way. Sometimes I use half & half but I always add cinnamon and sweetener. I like it as a dessert.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that way. For me, if I add cinnamon to it, I eat it as a dessert...without it is breakfast. :-) Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteHow interesting! I have a couple of picky eaters in my house who just might love this! Thank you! Visiting from the Here at Grace at Home party!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!

Great. Hope they do and thank you for allowing me to link up today.
DeleteThis is a favorite of mine! I've found some other good recipes on this site -- thanks for all your posts! I add salt instead of sugar to this recipe, but I've loved rice, milk & butter since I was a kid. I'm eating it right now!
DeleteGlad you are finding some recipes you like. My hubby prefers a bit of salt in his too instead of sugar! :-)
