Easy, Savory Herb Rice Mix Recipe

Several times a week we eat rice.  Generally we have my Homemade Rice-a-Roni dish or my Super Easy Yellow Rice with our meals but I wanted something different so I made up this Savory Herb Rice and it was a huge hit!  It goes great with chicken, pork or any protein you desire!

To prepare the savory herbed rice:  place 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of butter into a saucepan and bring to a boil.  Stir in 1 cup of the mix.  Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Check it and once the water is all absorbed, it is ready.  Fluff with a fork and serve.

I sometimes like to stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce right before serving to give it a bit of an Asian taste but on it's own, it's still so flavorful and superb!

As prepared above, it serves 4 people.

The mix will make enough of the mix to fill 3 quart jars.

So much flavor for just pennies a serving.  It can't be beat!

    Goes great with chicken.
