The Best Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe

I just love hot chocolate.  I drink it all year long, but especially once it gets cooler.  Nothing beats a cup of hot chocolate on a chilly day and this mix makes the best homemade hot chocolate that you can find!  Not only is it delicious but it makes the perfect gift too.

This recipe of mine makes a great gift like I mentioned before, and it is super cheap to make too.  It is so economical to make and to give out and the taste is far superior to any store-bought mix on the market.  The hot chocolate turns out rich, thick, creamy and delicious!  My mouth is watering just in anticipation!

The Best Homemade Hot chocolate Mix Recipe
2 1/2 c. powdered milk
1 1/4 c. cocoa
4 c. powdered sugar
1 c. powdered creamer
dash of salt

To make the mix, put all of your ingredients into a bowl and stir together.  once they are well combined, pour the mix into a 1 quart canning jar(s).  Put on the lid and decorate the lid if you are giving them as gifts, or just leave the lid plain if you are making them for yourself.

To make a cup of hot chocolate, put 1/4 cup of the mix into a mug and stir in 6-8 ounces of very hot water. Enjoy!

I like to stir in some mini-marshmallows or whipped cream sometimes too.  Instead of using water, you can  use milk for an extra creamy drink.

For variety, you can use a "flavored" dry creamer, such as pumpkin spice or french vanilla.

Store your mix in sealed canning jars indefinitely because there is nothing in the mix that should go bad.

Each mug of hot cocoa has 12 gr. carbs.
