Homeschooling

Many people often ask us about our homeschooling experience.  We have been homeschooling for over 15 years and love it.  Our 2 boys, age 14 and 7, have never been to public school.  People wonder if it is hard.  Yes, it can be but it is so enjoyable too.
We converted an extra bedroom into our "school" room.  Of course, lessons take place in every room of our house and outside too though.  But the bulk of the sit down school work is in the school room.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

  1. It looks so nice! Seems more like an actual classroom than the usual "home-school" setting!

  2. Thanks for the peak into your room! I love to see how others do things =) I hope to be able to set up my own 'room' for this fall. So far we have done school wherever, but we should be moving into a new home late summer, so I'm excited for the possibilities! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Trivium Tuesdays! I hope you can share with us again this week!

  6. I love seeing how others organize their homeschooling supplies! We don't really have a room...we have a hutch and desk in the DININGROOM and a bookcase in the kitchen for school! LOL

  7. Nice room! We have a school room too. We coverted our formal living room into our classroom/library. We needed somewhere to store all our stuff.

  8. I wish I had an extra bedroom in our house so that I could do this with all my kids. I am homeschooling my toddler now and it is fun.

    1. Christy, we "homeschooled" off our kitchen table for years. Either way is fun but yes, I admit it, I love having the room dedicated for it now. :-)
