Cooking Eggs in the Waffle Iron

I made a large batch of waffles for my family this morning.  But my hubby is a Southern man and requires more than just waffles.  I knew I needed to make him something to go with it so I grabbed some eggs, whipped them together and poured them into the hot waffle iron.  They turned out beautifully.  Easy to do and I actually love how they look.

Plug in the waffle iron and allow it to heat up.

As it is heating, take 3 eggs and whip them together well.  Add in the amount of salt and pepper you want for taste.  Once the waffle iron is ready, just pour in the eggs, close the lid and let the waffle iron perform its magic.

Now don't these look yummy and beautiful?

  1. Sounds like a great idea! Add some chopped onion and peppers and you have a omelet to go!

Awesome idea! I will have to show my hubby this and let him "play" at making egg waffles!
