Easy BBQ Pineapple Meatballs (in a Crock Pot or Stovetop)

Any get together we have, no matter how big or how small, we always serve these BBQ Pineapple Meatballs.  Our family just loves them and they are super easy to make.  The meatballs are juicy, sweet and tangy.  These meatballs are packed with flavor.  I am including directions using your crockpot or you can make them on your stovetop but I prefer making them in my crockpot.  Also, instead of serving this as an appetizer at a party, serve these meatballs over a plate of rice and make it a meal.

50-60 frozen meatballs (store-bought or homemade)

2 1/2 c. BBQ sauce

1 c. crushed pineapple (do not drain)

To cook in your crockpot or slow cooker:

Spray the bottom of your crockpot lightly with cooking spray.  Put the frozen meatballs in.  In a bowl, stir together your BBQ sauce and crushed pineapple and then pour over the meatballs.  Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-2 1/2 hours.  Serve warm.

To cook on your stovetop:

Add your BBQ sauce and crushed pineapple to a medium sized pot.  Add in the meatballs and stir to coat each meatball.  Bring them to a low boil over medium heat and then reduce the stove to low and simmer the meatballs for about 10-12 minutes.

Some of my other favorite appetizers to serve at parties include:  homemade bean dip, Tangy BBQ smokies, and ham sliders.
