These are a truly good old-fashioned Peanut butter and Chocolate Chip cookie...a true classic So soft and chewy, even the next morning. I recently took these to a party a friend was hosting and everyone went on and on about them and kept requesting my recipe so here it is for everyone to enjoy.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) jar peanut butter
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a cookie sheet (there is no need to grease it first). Slightly press each ball down.
Bake for 9 minutes. Let them cool for 2 minutes and then remove them to a plate. These are especially good if you eat them right away.
Melody, These sound absolutely delicious! I am going to be baking cookies with the granddaughter and these will be just the ones a 3 year old can help with! Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed you and your family on Extreme Cheapskates..wish that program still ran, or something similar. So nice to glean great ideas from like-minded folks. Have a blessed week, Karla in IL
