Christmas Crafts

Our family has been doing Christmas crafts the past 2 weeks and we've really had a lot of fun and shared lots of laugh and made some great memories and items to decorate our home with.  We wanted to share some of what we have made with all of you!

To make the ornament above, we just took a scratched up DVD (or CD) and paint over it and then use glitter paint or glue to decorate it.  Tie a string to it and hang it on your tree!

The ornament lights were so much fun to make.  I just used a black sharpie to draw the light strand and then we stuck our index finger into some paint and used the fingerprint to make the colored lights.

I loved the Mistle "toes" because I like keeping records of how my children grow and comparing this year's prints to previous years.  Ronny's is the top one and Bub's is the bottom one.

This one is Ronny's feet and we used his foot prints to make Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  I think it turned out so cute.  Bub felt he was too old for this one.  ;-)

To make the "textured" paint, I cheat.  I just mixed an equal amount of white school glue with an equal amount of cheap shaving cream and then add just a bit of paint (what ever color you desire).  You can see how the blue is "puffed" out.  It puffs out and is soft and squishy.  Nice and easy effect for your pictures without having to spend much money.

This is just a drawing my hubby did of a winter scene.  I was "uber" surprised because I didn't even know he could draw!

And finally we just painted some wreaths.

Thanks for allowing us to share our crafts with you all!
